Meet Prashanthi
Prashanthi’s journey is defined by her name, a Sanskrit word meaning “the highest form of peace". Though she is a technology professional driven by logic and fast-paced systems, she describes herself as an ordinary woman with an extraordinary story - one that began under the quiet, unexpected influence of "inner moonlight."
A childhood shaped by many faiths
Growing up in a family that embraced spiritual exploration, Prashanthi absorbed a diverse mix of worldviews, Eastern philosophies, and Western existential ideas. Influenced early on by her Guru, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, she adopted a heart-centered philosophy: “Love All, Serve All.” This foundation taught her that wisdom is a universal human inheritance, not confined to a single culture or religion.
A Mystical Summoning
Prashanthi’s transition into Taoism did not begin with academic study, but with a series of pivotal relationships and a "mystical pull". She describes waking one night at a life crossroads with a gentle summoning to read the Tao Te Ching. The following evening, while reciting a childhood multifaith prayer containing the line “Rahim Tao Tu,” she experienced a profound moment of synchronicity. For the first time, the word Tao glowed, signaling a doorway to a new path.
Balancing Logic and Stillness
Prashanthi operates at the intersection of two seemingly opposite worlds. By day, she navigates the world of technology and strategic decision-making. At home, she is a mother, wife, daughter, and friend.
The Tao taught her that spirituality lives inside the ordinary:
In the breath before a high-stakes meeting.
In the softness required in parenting.
In the surrender required in relationships.
In the willingness to hold contradictions without forcing a resolution.
Why She Wrote Embracing Paradox
The creation of her book was an unplanned rise of intuition. Prashanthi experienced the verses of the Tao Te Ching like phases of the moon - revealing wisdom in layers that were at times bright and at others shadowed.
Embracing Paradox is not a scholarly translation; it is an intuitive offering of 81 micro-lessons. It serves as a companion for the modern seeker, intended to help readers see their own contradictions as a part of their wholeness rather than a flaw.
A Final Whisper
Prashanthi shares her work because the Tao transformed the way she breathes and shows up in the world. Her hope is that her writing acts like the moon - not shining its own light, but reflecting the light that already glows within her readers.
